Call for Entries

In presenting the International Medis Awards for Medical Research, International panel of professionals seeks out and Medis rewards the best applied research achievements in selected areas of medicine thereby increasing the prestige of the winners and their achievements within the profession and among the general public. In this way together we enhance awareness and promote the importance of research for the development of medical science in the region and contribute to the diagnosis and treatment of disease.


The International Medis Awards for Medical Research contest is open to medical doctors and pharmacists from nine countries of Central and Southeastern Europe (CSEE): Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Slovenia.

  • INTENSIVE CARE MEDICINE and ANESTHESIOLOGY
  • NEUROLOGY
  • OPHTHALMOLOGY
  • PEDIATRICS
  • PHARMACY
  • PULMONOLOGY and ALLERGOLOGY
  • RHEUMATOLOGY

Conditions for Entry

Authors may submit the following types of research work from one of the specified medical fields:

 

  • Articles published in scientific publications with an impact factor (IF) greater than 1.5.

The research work must be accepted or published between 1 September 2018 and 31 August 2019.

The application process is simple. All you have to do is fill out the online application form and submit the following materials:

  • Article
  • Confirmation of the accepted material
  • The consent of first or leading author (if you are not the first or leading author of the article)

Instructions

The Award

One winner will be selected from each field of research.

Winners will receive:

  • Bodočnost (The Future) - a bronze sculpture by Jakov Brdar
  • A financial grant of € 2,500 gross

Finalists will be announced from each field of research.

Finalists will receive an International Medis Award that includes:

  • International Medis Awards certificate of recognition
  • A financial grant of € 500 gross
